Stevie is a Robert Gordon Large Handled Mug, and that handle is the whole point: a big, rounded loop roomy enough to take every finger, so you can wrap your hand around it and hold a hot coffee comfortably. Around it, open-petalled flowers in dusky mauve and pale peach, each with a little amber centre, are dotted with sage green across a speckled cream glaze, and the wide, gently tapered body sits low and steady on the bench.
